Whale watch Trips

The OC Chapters' major event is usually held in March. A day long trip around Catalina Island on the Catalina Flyer to watch the migration of the magnificent gray whales and is always fun.

The members of the Orange County Chapter sponsor the all day trip around Catalina Island, so people have an opportunity to see the whales migrating without so much interaction with boats along the shore.

Besides seeing the whales in their natural habitat, participants may also see seal lions, bald eagles, bison and many species of dolphins.

This year's trip was on March 8, 2009. The prices were be: Adults: $75; ACS members: $60; Seniors $65; Students: $40; Children: $35 and for those who board in Avalon : $40. Call 714-375-1192 for more information. Call 949-673-1434 for reservations. No credit cards, no prepay, no refunds. Pay when you come to buy tickets at Davey's Locker 400 Main St, Balboa.
