Supported Research
The Orange County Chapter actively supports research being done to better understand the lifestyles, behaviors and needs of cetaceans. A better understanding of all cetaceans will provide the tools necessary to insure the survival of these amazing creatures.(See Education page for Grant proposals) .

Day of the Dolphin Research Project
The Day of the Dolphin Research Project documents the presence of Coastal Bottlenose Dolphins along the Orange County Coast. Counts are taken four times a year--January, April, July and October. (see meeting Information)

Rachel Ann Racicot has been awarded $1000 grant to continue work on her MS on "Comparative Morphology of the Pterygoid sinuses in porpoises" for more information on Grants email wrogers@socal.rr.com for information
