A conference retrospective is in process - the following has been retained for reference.

Dear Friend of the Whales,

Please help protect whales, dolphins, and porpoises by making a donation to the American Cetacean Society Silent Auction on November 11th in Ventura, California.

This is an ideal opportunity to promote your products to hundreds of the world’s leading ocean explorers, marine biologists, researchers, environmentalists, writers, artists, government officials, and other distinguished guests who will be attending the 10th International Conference sponsored by ACS.

ACS is the oldest whale conservation group in the world. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of volunteers from all walks of life who reside in more than 20 countries. What sets us apart from other organizations is our ability to bridge humanity and science in meaningful ways. Our programs include whale watching trips, free teaching aids, research projects, and conservation advocacy. Our goal is the protection of whales, dolphins and porpoises for the enjoyment of future generations.

In recognition of your generous contribution, we will gratefully acknowledge our appreciation for your donation in our Conference Program and in our online publications. With your help, we can work together to protect cetaceans and their habitats, address the impact of extraordinary environmental changes that threaten all species, and participate in a global effort to create a more positive future – for whales and for ourselves.

Please help us secure the future by donating to our Silent Auction and taking a tax deduction for the retail value of your contribution (new merchandise, services, cash, or gift certificates) and be a part of this exciting event that will focus on “Whales Without Borders”.

Thank you for your support - and for giving us an opportunity to really make a difference.

Sincerely,

   Diane Alps
